Nicole & Brian at Mrs. Murphy & Sons Irish Bistro

I had such a great rapport with Nicole and Brian and all their guests! They’re just my kind of people: down to earth, real, friendly, funny, and overall awesome. They brought their DOGS to all the pictures, in the limo, and to their ceremony. Like I said, my kind of people. Check out the amazing yellow details, the handmade installation art hung behind them for the ceremony, and their adorable selves.

Diana & Sparky at the courthouse

Diana and Sparky had a lovely, simple, low-key, super fun, court house ceremony. It even rained very briefly for a bit of extra good luck. Right now they’re on their Route 66 honeymoon. How fun does that sound?!

Tracy & Pete at Nightwood Restaurant

When I met Tracy and Pete there was an ease about our interaction that made me immediately think “This is gonna be great!” And I was totally right! We met at Nightwood, one of my favorite restaurants in my very own hood. The vibe of the evening was very intimate, only some family and a few close friends. What impressed me most was the sense of genuine love that filled the room. Their ceremony was short and heartfelt and even included a RickRoll moment.  Brilliant.

Jordi & Cynthia

I was so honored to be part of Jordi and Cynthia’s intimate, International wedding. Cynthia is from Sweden and Jordi is Spanish so there was a wonderful mix of cultures and languages and I even got to brush up on my Spanish a bit! I met Cynthia at the James hotel where she got ready before we headed over to Kitchen Chicago. I really loved the ceremony which included a reading from The Little Prince, one of my favorite all-time books, and a few friends sang an amazing rendition of Home. Delightful.
